Description and Application
SUPREMEDET’S STL is a short-delay surface capsule used to provide a delay to the bottom capsules during the use of electric-free capsules. It is manufactured in various delay times to achieve the desired performance in blasting operations.
Special block connectors are placed on the surface capsule heads, allowing 6 shock tubes to be fired simultaneously. Thanks to the block connectors and the small amount of explosives, noise and shrapnel issues are not experienced.
With STL capsules, an infinite number of holes can be delayed, ensuring that multiple holes are detonated simultaneously without environmental effects.
The product is unaffected by water environments, harsh weather conditions, radio waves, and static, providing safer usage.
Advantages
- It is a highly safe firing system.
- It is extremely easy to use.
- The tubes of the capsules can be produced in the desired length.
- It provides flexibility in fully controlled delay and detonation control.
- It is safe against static electricity.
- It minimizes environmental issues caused by detonation.
- It is resistant to tearing and friction.
- It can be easily used in harsh environmental conditions.
- It is quick and easy to use.
Usage Recommendations
SUPREMEDET’S STL electric-free surface capsules can be fired with electric capsules or a minimum of 5 g/m detonating fuse. Connections should not be overly tight or too loose. Shock tubes should be handled carefully during loading and firing to avoid damage. Since there is explosive material in the capsule head, it can detonate uncontrollably due to impact, friction, or high temperatures. One SUPREMEDET’S STL surface capsule and one SUPREMEDET’S DTH bottom capsule should be used for each hole. Also, if used to create delays between rows, one SUPREMEDET’S STL should be used for each row.

Storage
Explosive materials must be stored in accordance with the “Regulation on Explosives Other Than Monopoly Materials and Related Ammunition,” Decision No. 87/12028. For best results, store in a well-ventilated, approved explosive material storage facility at moderate temperatures and dry conditions. When stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated explosive storage facility, the shelf life of SUPREMEDET’S STL is 2 years from the production date. However, exposure to extremely hot or cold weather conditions may cause early degradation of the product.
